In case you haven’t heard, vehicles are now able to run on other forms of energy besides gasoline. We are already familiar with the popular diesel engines from Milton Volkswagen; this clean burning diesel technology is incredibly fuel efficient and still gives drivers a fun driving experience. Even the engineers over at Rockledge Lincoln Dealership have incorporated hybrid engine technology into some of their cars. It has yet to be seen if those cars will be popular or not, but Americans are definitely making an effort to save money on gas. The exciting news comes in the form of electric cars, like the Nissan Leaf or the Chevy Volt from Chevy Car Specials Cleveland. We are going to take a look inside to see if drivers will love their cars as much as they love saving gas.
Chevy did a great job, despite their shocking $41,000 price tag. They decided just to put all the bells and whistles in the car rather than have them available as costly options. Drivers get in-dash navigation, cruise control, auto climate control, a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes, plus the convenience of remote start. Drivers will be thoroughly impressed with their Bose sound system, DVD-ROM player, Bluetooth audio controls, XM Satellite Radio, 30GB of media storage, and all of that is run by the 60GB hard-drive.
The Nissan Leaf is a bit more affordable with a starting price of $32,870. Both electric vehicles are eligible for a $7,500 tax credit. The Leaf is fully electric but features a built in navigation system that tells the driver everything that is going on with their car. You will know how many more miles you can drive, how far you have driven, the amount of battery charge you have left, and those numbers will fluctuate depending on how many features you have running, like the air conditioner. One thing we’d like to see on other cars is the ability to heat the steering wheel and seats, rather than wasting so much power to heat the entire cabin; good job, Nissan!
