3 Concept Car Paris Debuts!

Honda 3R C 1024x768 3 Concept Car Paris Debuts!

The 2010 Paris Auto Show took place last weekend and there were some amazing new production cars as well as concept design vehicles being showcased.  Green is the way of the future, and the folks at Hyundai Reading have caught onto that fact with their announcing new hybrid vehicles to their line up.  It is nice to see more and more hybrids for sale at Providence Used Cars.  Listed below are three creative concept cars from various auto makers, and all promise zero emissions.

You won’t find the unique 3R-C from GM Detroit, but hopefully they will make their way to Honda dealerships in urban environments.  This new Honda creation has three wheels and seats only one passenger.  The drivetrain is electric and battery powered, so there are zero emissions.  The driver sits relatively low in the vehicle and is protected by a clear canopy, as well as the high sides of the vehicle surrounding them.  There is some small area of secure storage at the front of the vehicle.

Kia Pop Doors open 300x150 3 Concept Car Paris Debuts! The Kia Pop can obtain a full charge in only six hours, can travel up to 87 mph, drive for 100 miles on a single charge, and produces zero emissions.  That is an impressive set of numbers!  Plus, the Kia Pop can carry three passengers (two in the front seat and one in the back).  It is by no means the roomiest car, but if this vehicle makes it into production there will be some strong competition among micro-cars.  There is the nice feature of an electronic panel in the front that alerts the driver to current speed and distance traveled.

Renault Twizy 300x182 3 Concept Car Paris Debuts! Renault debuted their Twizy Zero Emission vehicle and announced it will go into production and be available for purchase in Europe towards the end of 2011.  We saw this vehicle in concept form back in 2009 at the Frankfurt Auto Show.  There is a two person capacity and the size is just a bit longer than a scooter, coming in at 91 inches long.  The Twizy ZE can go 60 miles per charge and reach a top speed of 47 mph.  There are charge ports along the roadways and a full charge at home takes 3.5 hours.
