The 2011 Toyota Pruis, which can be purchased at Salisbury Toyota Dealership, was ranked number 2 out of 8 Affordable Midsize Cars.  It comes with a 1.8 liter in-line four cylinder engine and a 60-kilowatt electric motor.  The powertrain generates 134 horsepower and 105 pound feet of torque.  The Prius is estimated to get 51/48 mpg. city/highway.

Toyota has different protection packages depending on what state you live in.  If you live in California, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, and New Mexico all get fifteen years or 150,000 mile hybrid components and a  battery warranty of ten years or 150,000 miles.  Now if you purchase your Prius from Toyota Dealer TX or any other state, your warranty will be eight years or 100,000 miles on hybrid related components.

Hybrid Check Out This Festival!This coming 29th of July, everyone can be part of the Green Car and Transportation Festival. Starting at twelve o’clock noon up until five in the afternoon, people can roam about the event’s area and learn more about being green and environment friendly. Interested parties can simply troop to Ipswich, Massachusetts’ Town Hall.

This green festival would actually be a venue for auto manufacturers to show off their environment friendly cars. In fact, the festival already has in store a huge array of the now familiar hybrid cars as well as electric cars. There are even some cars that are a combination of both hybrid and electric. There are also vehicles that show off cutting edge technologies which could already be in the market or are just in the late stages of development. Information on these vehicles would also be provided like data on Land Rover cooling system parts or other car features that could enhance a vehicle’s performance without sacrificing the environment.

Production vehicles that you could feast your eyes on would include Honda hybrids Accord, Civic, and Civic ICE of Honda Dealers Waco, or even Honda Dealers CT. Toyota hybrid vehicles Highlander, Camry, and Prius, of Toyota Dealership Minneapolis, would also take part of the festivities. You can also find compressed natural gas cars like the Crown Victoria, Honda Civic GX, and the Ford F150 pickup truck.
Green Check Out This Festival!Aside from cars and hybrids, the Green Car and Transportation Festival would also be the host for other exhibits where participants, visitors, and guests could learn more about being green. There are exhibits that would provide information on transportation agencies, environmental organizations, and advocacy groups. These, of course, would have to be those groups and organizations that are working towards lessening pollution and reducing the country’s dependence on oil imported from other countries.

There would also be presentations that would be given by experts in the automotive industry. The topics would range from global warning, hydrogen fuel, solar energy, and even bio diesel fuel.

Toyota Yaris plant offline for another month;

2012 Toyota Yaris 300x225 Toyota Yaris plant offline for another month;Toyota’s Yaris plant in Japan will be offline for at least another month as the company restores its facilities and gets back to production. Other Japanese automakers including Nissan also will experience slowdowns which may eventually affect inventories at CT Nissan Dealers and other dealerships abroad. The Yaris is produced by Toyota at its Miyagi assembly plant and this plant has had repairs done to it but not enough to have it back up and running. Other dealerships that may end up being affected include Honda Dealership St. Louis due to shortages for Honda models since Honda has also been affected by slowdowns from the earthquake. Other dealerships that may be affected include Honda Dealership Hilton Head and other local Honda dealerships.

The quake killed an estimated 10,000 people, and Japanese automakers like Toyota and other automakers have a long road ahead to recover from this disaster as well as the people of Japan. Toyota resumed production of three models including the Prius hybrid, but this was only limited production, and other models that were resumed included the Lexus HS250h hybrid as well was the CT200h. There is no confirmed timeline for the resuming of operations considering that there are many factors that are involved in resuming production including the restoration of energy and transportation infrastructure. A Toyota spokesperson said that the output for the three models currently in production will take place this Thursday and that production resuming for other models would not be known. Toyota also said that it is currently calculating parts and inventory supplies and that the company was not sure whether or not there would be a major impact on production capabilities.

As a part of the company’s global strategy, Audi will be releasing electric vehicle models that are sporty and have the same quality and luxury standards that the brand is known for.
