2011 Prius Inside Prius Keeps Getting Better and Better!

You don’t have to spend a fortune to get a hybrid vehicle from Toyota Dealers Santa Ana, especially if you opt to purchase a used model.  Despite some initial concerns about the durability and reliability of the Toyota Prius, even the original models from back in 2001 offer a great value for those shoppers on a budget.  While Honda Dealers Mississippi might offer a handful of hybrid vehicles in their line up, there is not one single hybrid vehicle that has been able to come close to the amount of sales that the Prius enjoys.  It sure isn’t for lack of trying from other auto brands and we have seen a lot of effort from Birmingham Honda but nothing that can catch up to the success of the Prius.

The Toyota Prius first reached the United States in 2001 but it had been on the market since 1997 in Japan.  The only immediate competition at that time was the Honda Insight, and even though the first generation Prius is no one’s first choice vehicle, it still outsold the Honda Insight.  However, for those shoppers on a budget, the fuel economy and fantastic low price you will get on a first generation Toyota Prius is really hard to compete with.

The second generation Prius was released in 2004 and was sold until 2009 when the current third generation hit the markets.  With the ability to carry five passengers, the four door hatchback instantly became a favorite among fuel economists.  The EPA ratings don’t hold a lot of credit when you have real-life driving fuel averages to report, and most Prius owners average somewhere around 45 mpg.  The main complaints about the second generation Prius have to do with the dashboard and control system.  Many buyers report that the futuristic touchscreen is impossible to see in direct sunlight and the funky gear shifter managed to survive to the current model, although no one really understands why.

$16.5 Billion Up For Grabs!

CAFE Gas Costs 300x197 $16.5 Billion Up For Grabs!There might be a few reasons why Lancaster Hyundai is only just now coming out with a hybrid model and it could be related to government funding.  The U.S. Department of Energy has established fuel regulations that will require auto makers to improve the average fuel economy of their entire vehicle line up to at least 35.5 mpg by the year 2016.  The money for creating vehicles at Honda Troy comes from other places besides sales along, and the government has already made substantial loans to viable brands with concrete plans to help improve the fuel economy of their vehicles.  It is unclear whether or not Honda Dealership WI has benefited from these government loans but we do know that Ford and Nissan have both received financial assistance in recent years.

US DOE 300x300 $16.5 Billion Up For Grabs!The U.S. Department of Energy originally had a $25 billion budget to award loans to auto makers and other business who could demonstrate a solid plan for product and technology improvement.  A total of $8.5 billion was given to Ford, Nissan, Fisker Automotive, and Tesla back in 2009.  Those brands have used their awards by improving the current fuel economy of their most popular brands and we have seen the success of the Nissan Leaf electric vehicle since its creation.  This means that there is still $16.5 billion on the table that the U.S. Department of Energy will be awarding to companies in the coming years.

Two American car brands that are hoping to receive substantial portions of the remaining funds are Chrysler and General Motors.  Part of the hold up for them being awarded funds is because of their recent government bailouts and bankruptcy issues.  It doesn’t make sense to give more money to a company to develop a brand new product when they are having problems maintaining the sales of their current line up.  GM is hoping that the huge success of their IPO and the sales of the Chevy Volt will take some of the dark attention from their history and shed some fresh light on what the company is doing now.

2011 Honda Insight 300x187 Two of The Safest Hybrids!

Let’s talk about two of the safest Hybrid vehicles.  The first, which can be found at Honda Dealership Birmingham, is the 2010 Honda Insight.  It is powered by an Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system which has an electric motor that creates acceleration power and works like a generator to charge the battery during braking or coasting.  The Insights four cylinder engine and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) helps conserve fuel.

The 2010 Insight received five stars in front and side drive crash tests and four stars in front passenger, side rear passenger and rollover two wheel drive crash tests.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Insight a rating of “Good” in front offset and side impact crash tests.  This vehicle also comes with many safety features as well.  The 2010 Insight comes standard with anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution, multiple threshold front airbags, front side airbags, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH), vehicle stability assist and side curtain airbags.2011 Honda Civic Hybrid 300x163 Two of The Safest Hybrids!

Now the 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid, which can be bought at Santa Maria Honda Dealership, comes with one engine.  It is a 1.3 liter four cylinder gas engine that is paired with an electric motor.  This creates 110 horsepower and 123 pound feet of torque.  The Civic Hybrid also has a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The federal government gave the Civic Hybrid five stars in front end collision as well as for rear passenger protection in side impact collisions, four stars in front passenger protection in side impact collisions and four stars for rollover ratings.  This Hybrid comes with more safety features than most small cars.  They include; six airbags, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution and Brake Assist not to mention vehicle stability assist with traction control.

Most Honda’s, like the ones found at Honda Mississippi, come with a three year or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.  Honda also covers the Insights Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) battery pack with a warranty, but you would need to check with the dealership to find out the length of the warranty.

Both of these vehicles were on the “Top 5 Safest Hybrids” list and it looks to me like they deserve it.  They both received high rankings on safety tests and go beyond with safety features.  And lets not all forget how well they are for the environment.

Paceman Concept Will Larger MINI Cars Boost Sales?

It is relatively slim pickings out there if shoppers want a small car that has adequate enough fuel economy to justify giving up the luxury of a spacious interior.  The smaller cars at Irvine Honda are still dramatically larger than the MINI line up, and they tend to cost less.  MINI is facing tough competition right now because their prices are relatively high and their fuel economy is not as amazing as people would expect.  Consumers are preferring to spend less over at Toyota Dealers San Diego because the fuel economy is better and they retain their resale value.  We did see a new concept from MINI at the Detroit Auto Show, but it is already receiving criticism from the industry.  They get points for trying to keep up with Honda Dealerships Kentucky, and we might see the Paceman Concept in production one day.

MINI started producing larger vehicles when their BMW parent company took the reins.  Sadly, their sales were down last year even though BMW enjoyed an 11% increase in sales for 2010.  The larger vehicles are helping MINI remain competitive, but the prices are still higher than consumers are willing to pay.  Their four-door Countryman starts out at $22,350, which is a fair price for the product you are purchasing.  It is expected that the Paceman Concept would have a similar price tag.

The MINI Paceman Concept is a two-door version of the current Countryman.  There are tons of similarities between the two, ranging from the fact that they are the same length, they both have four separate seats, and the front ends are nearly identical.  The Paceman Concept does add some chrome accents as well as improved cold air intake for better performance.  MINI hopes to start production as soon as possible but an actual release date has not been released yet.  Hopefully, MINI will continue to be a successful brand by their commitment to delivering products that their consumers are asking for.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last decade, you are well aware of the Albuquerque Toyota Deals on their popular Prius hybrid.  Well, now to accommodate more buyers and attract a wider array of shoppers, the Prius will be available as a station wagon later this year.  You might recall when Toyota HI stopped selling station wagons and switched over to popular crossovers like the Toyota Venza, but the buyers are always demanding something new from the auto engineers.  Unlike the hybrid from Honda Dealers Austin that is still having trouble competing with the domination that the Prius has on the market, Toyota is trying to expand their Prius family to include several models and types.

Honda Civic Concept Honda, Toyota, and More in Detroit

Rather than being bombarded with tons of Irvine Volvo Dealership concept cars at this year’s Detroit auto show, auto fans will love the more practical vehicles that will be unveiled this year.  Auto manufacturers are well aware of the new CAFE fuel regulations that will go into effect in 2016 and are focusing their attention on electric and hybrid vehicles that are more affordable that what we currently have offered over at Washington Honda.  Other good news comes from Toyota and the slew of new Prius models that will join them in Detroit.  We will see Salisbury Honda Dealership engineers bring a new and improved Civic to the show.

The North American International Auto Show is usually full of exotic concept cars that never actually make it to any production plant.  The concept designs are futuristic, have far too much horsepower for daily driving, and usually would cost a small fortune when it comes to deciding on MSRP.  Honda will be showcasing their next generation Civic, and consumers will be quite excited about what they see.  Honda already has great success with their Civic compact, but the improvements will make sure that it stays near the top of the growing class.

VW Touareg Make An Effort: Choose The 2011 VW Touareg.The 2011 VW Touareg Hybrid of Volkswagen Dealer Toronto, comes with 8 speed electronically controlled manually interactive adaptive automatic transmission with over drive and floor mounted shifter. The Touareg Hybrid also comes with new interior and exterior features.
